Certainly one of the more unique Southern California experiences, and de nitely much more than entertainment, are the powwows of Southern California casino host tribes. Powwows are tribal gatherings open to the public that celebrate life with dancing, drumming, games, fantastic food and craft sales. Southern California tribal casino hosts have spectacular powwows that offer a glimpse into Native American culture and traditions and are not to be missed. Please note than alcohol is not permitted at powwows, and please ask for permission before you take photos of tribal members in their regalia. Check
out our list of upcoming Southern California gaming tribe powwows on page 11.
And check out the fantastic entertainment at Southern California casinos in our entertainment guides on pages 10 and 11. While our guides do not contain all casino entertainment for July through October, they do list many of the fantastic events. So check with each casino’s web site or ask your favorite casino about upcoming acts. Some headliners are booked at several different casinos within a month, so if you miss a favorite act at one casino, you may be able to catch it at another casino.
Times for shows vary, and may begin anywhere between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Show prices range from $15.00 upwards, depending on the event. Remember, if you have a player’s club card for the host casino, you will usually receive a discount, so have your card handy when you call to purchase tickets. Sometimes, if you are a vip player’s club member, the concerts may be free! Ask your casino host. Also, be certain to call casinos to con rm concert times, and do purchase tickets well ahead of time. The popular shows sell out fast. Note that some casinos require patrons be aged 21 or over to attend. And remember that entertainment is subject to change. Have fun, and enjoy the fantastic entertainment at Southern California’ casinos!
