TCelebrating Two Years of the Gaming GuideTM!
his February we celebrate our second anniversary! Two years ago this month we began publishing the Gaming Guide! First as a San Diego monthly, and then, in response to
reader requests, we expanded to the Southern California Gaming Guide in August 2002, including news of all Tribal government casinos in Southern California! We also expanded our distribution throughout Southern California to Los Angeles County, including the San Fernando Valley, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, and of course, San Diego County. And two years later we have a readership of well over 300,000 monthly, and readers as far away as Hawaii! We look forward to bringing readers California gaming news for many more years!
is is our rst slot issue of 2004, featuring some of gaming’s classic reel slots, and their recent reincarnation as exciting video games! Read about “Classic Reel Slots Gone Video” on page 10.
2004 is a Leap Year with an extra day this month, and Valentine’s Day opportunities for romantic celebrations at casinos.
And a group of lucky winners are celebrated on our Winner’s page this month — six Wheel of Fortune® winners in one month! Also check out the fantastic player’s club promotions on page 21. You could win a new house, Rolex® watches and lots of cash!
On page 17, Rob Schmidt brings us up to date on the state of Tribal government gaming in California. Did you know that Tribal gaming has brought unprecedented economic growth to California?
Let us know what you want to see in the Southern California Gaming Guide in the coming months! Meanwhile, always wager wisely and have fun at the casinos!
