peripatetic casino-loving snowbird, tells you about the

Spring is here, and springtime in Southern California seems to bring out the classic car bu s; and cars and casinos go together well, right? Find out where you can go to play
and admire classic cars and motorcycles — and just have fun! ere are three casino venues with Classic Car Shows in April. Read about them on page 7.
When we created the Gaming Guide almost two and half years ago, we established the newspaper as an advocate for Responsible Gaming. Making news available about Southern California casinos and slot machines seemed a boon to casino players, and judging from your frequent letters phone calls, and e-mails, we know the Southern California Gaming Guide provides a welcome service. Each month we strive to remind readers that gaming is intended to be entertainment and fun. In recognition of “National Problem Gambling Awareness Week” in March, we urge other gaming publications across the country to do the same. Statistics show that 4 – 6% of casino players have gambling problems. A primary focus of our e ort is to promote the fact that treatment works, and is available in the state of California. See page 6 for details about the California Council on Problem Gambling.
Until next month, have fun, and wager wisely at the casinos!
