SGolden Acorn Casino Plans New Hotel

San Diego County’s Golden Acorn Casino attracts casino players from near and far. Known for its exciting promotions, variety of slots, and great service, Golden Acorn Casino is a favorite of Southern California casino players.
On July 28th the Campo Band of Kumeyaay Indians, owners of Golden Acorn Casino, announced plans to build a hotel. e new hotel will be a boon to the area, and a beacon for travelers from all over Southern California. Currently, the nearest accommodation in the area is a 16-room motel east of the casino in the community of Boulevard.
e 150-room hotel is planned to be built on the huge Golden Acorn Casino parking lot. e tribe already has an approved environmental study for an 89-room hotel, and will seek approval for the planned
150-room structure. e architect for the Campo project is Seattle-based Group West. e proposed three-story hotel will be built in an arcing semicircle from the front of the freeway-side of the casino, and could be under construction by November. e project will also add a steakhouse restaurant and
entertainment lounge, pool, and eventually an RV park and bowling alley.
