Enjoy This Holiday Season
Amazing just how quickly 2006 sped past, and here we are almost at the end of the year, in the midst of the winter holiday season. e holidays are a time to enjoy the pleasures of the season—parties, celebrations, family, and all the traditions of the times. For many people, there’s the rush of the need to do, to be places, to see people. But this holiday season, take some time out for some fun at the casino. Bring your friends and family for a fantastic meal at a casino bu et or restaurant. Take in a casino concert or show. And look for the season’s casino holiday events. Our December feature, Casino Holiday Thrills begins on page 16 where you can read about some of your favorite casinos’ holiday celebrations. ere are wonderful casino-sponsored community events, sumptuous holiday bu ets, fun and thrilling holiday promotions, seasonal entertainment, and New Year’s Eve eventsatSouthernCaliforniacasinos.Andwhoknows?Youmayevenreceiveathrillingholidayjackpot.
Have you nished your holiday shopping? Just in case you are a last-minute shopper, take a look at page 19, our Last Minute Gaming Gifts, for two quick-buy ideas that you can purchase right from your own home by phone or on the Internet. ey’ll both bring hours and hours of fun—and even lasting memories.
e last few months of the year we plan the Southern California Gaming Guide for the next twelve months, and we have some exciting changes in store for 2007. But it’s also a time we re ect on what we accomplished during the year. In 2006 we expanded the Southern California Gaming Guide to 32 pages, and we made design changes to our interior pages for a more open look and feel. Readers, like you, called, e-mailed, and wrote to us with suggestions for articles, events and changes you would like to see in the Gaming Guide. We value all reader input, and respond to everyone, so please keep telling us what you would like to see. In 2007 we are planning an expanded web site, more pages and new features.
Southern California casinos are a unique group of properties that helped introduce signi cant casino changes world-wide. e were among the rst to introduce “ticket-in/ticket-out” play that rapidly became an industry standard. And Southern California casinos remain on the leading edge of casino technology and innovation. In the next few months, look for news about casino innovations coming to Southern California and how they will make your play more exciting.
At the end of this wonderful year, we want to remind you to keep your casino playing fun. Be a responsible player, and enjoy your time at the casino by always playing within your means.
We wish you all a safe, joyful and happy holiday season and a wonderful 2007! We want to give special thanks to all our service men and women, and we send safekeeping wishes for all who remain overseas.
Always wager wisely, and have fun at the casinos. Happy holidays and Happy New Year!
