Valley View Casino Donates $60,000 to TOhe San Diego Foundation for Fire Relief
n November 1st, Valley View Casino presented a $60,000 donation to The San Diego Foundation’s After the Fires Fund to aid in recovery efforts in the wake of the Southern California wildfires. Valley View Casino General Manager Michael
Gorczynski and San Pasqual Casino Development Group Inc. President/CEO Joe Navarro presented the check to The San Diego Foundation’s Disaster Fund Board at their headquarters in San Diego.
Sycuan Band Honors Local WCharities with $140,000
hile the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation takes great pleasure in giving to others all year long, the holiday season kicks o a unique program at Sycuan Casino. The Second
Annual Gift Giving Ceremony allowed Sycuan Casino and Resort Directors and the Sycuan Tribal Council to honor local charities and non-pro t organizations of their choice. e gift-giving ceremony took place on November 29th, at Sycuan Casino. Each Tribal Council member and department director presented a donation to a local charity or non-pro t organization of their choice during the ceremony, with a total of $140,000 donated to 32 organizations. rough this program, the Tribe and Sycuan management team are able to share in the joy that comes with giving to others at this special time of year.
Sycuan Charity Golf TSournament Raises $50,000
ycuan Resort welcomed 300 golfers to the 17th Annual Sycuan Charity Golf Tournament on October 11th. e tournament raised $50,000 for the local Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE).
e mission of PIQE is to bring parents, schools and community together as equal partners in the education of every child, and to provide all students with the option and access to a post-secondary education: www.piqe.org/. e success of the Charity Golf Tournament depended on participation from neighboring tribal governments and casinos and the many vendors Sycuan works with every day.

To help raise funds and to give the local community a chance to pitch in as well,
Valley View Casino hosted a fundraiser by o ering free bu ets to all guests with a suggested donation of $5 or more per person with 100% of the proceeds to go to e San Diego Foundation’s After the Fires Fund. Guests were more than happy to help out and contributed almost $30,000 in donations throughout the weekend. Valley View Casino matched their donations plus some to donate a total amount of $60,000 to the fund.
