Anderson, the students at Dehesa Elementary School will use the Barona Education Grant funds to purchase laptop computers, projectors and computer carts.

Annual Barona Pow-Wow Celebrates Native American
xperience San Diego County’s largest celebration of Native American tradition and culture at the 38th Annual Barona Pow-Wow
on Friday, August 29th through Sunday, August 31st. Native American dancers from around the country will showcase traditional Tribal dances and compete for cash and prizes during the three day event.
 e Barona Pow-Wow will also feature traditional singing and music, authentic Native American foods, and exquisite handcrafted arts and jewelry.  e celebration takes place at the Barona Stars Baseball Field (just one mile north of the Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino) on the Barona Indian Reservation at 1095 Barona Road in Lakeside from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, August 29th, from 1 p.m. to 12 midnight on Saturday, August 30th, and 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday, August 31st. Admission and parking are free. Bring chairs and prepare for the sun and heat. Also, please ask permission before you take any photos of Tribal members in their regalia. North America’s largest amphitheater.  e facility formerly known as Glen Helen Pavilion was rebranded San Manuel Amphitheater. San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino is known for providing incredible live performances by some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.  e announcement demonstrates San Manuel’s commitment to provide great forums for live entertainment to the greater Los Angeles area.
Rated by fans and artists alike as one of the most spectacular outdoor venues in Southern California, San Manuel Amphitheater is located amongst the majestic foothills of San Bernardino. It o ers the largest capacity of any amphitheater in North America.
Depending upon the individual show and its production requirements, as many as 65,000 fans can enjoy top-notch entertainment under a picturesque sky.
Program is an innovative way to encourage and inspire students throughout California. Each grant awarded by the Barona Education Grant Program is $5,000 and can be used to purchase much-needed supplies and materials that promote academic improvement, including books, computers, and other educational materials. Each application must be endorsed by the state legislator representing the area.
Applications can be downloaded online at www. barona-nsn.gov/education/BEGP-Accountability- Form.pdf and completed applications must be postmarked within 30 days of the written endorsement letter from the state legislator.
