Super Summer WInners
There is a whole lot of winning going on this summer at Southern California casinos, so the time couldn’t be better to make a trip to your favorite casino. Casinos are o ering great values in dining, and there are hot, hot slots to make you walk away a winner. at’s why we decided to give you one of your favorite issues
this month—winners!
Readers tell us they love to see the Winners page (page 34) each month to see who’s won what recently
at the Southern California casinos. And the winners we show are always just a handful of the photos we receive, so that’s why we like to periodically prepare a winners’ cover feature. We know there are also many winners, who for one reason or another, are camera shy at the casino, so we never know what they won.
Besides fantastic slot jackpots, casinos this summer have incredible big cash and sports car promotions. And Southern California casino promotions are some of the best in the country. The August feature, Super Summer Winners is on page 18. It shows winners of slot and promotion jackpots. Read it for sheer
inspiration. Who knows, you may be the next big winner!
There is an exciting crop of new slots at the casinos—and make sure you get to play them. Some of the
most exciting are community play slots, like Wheel of Fortune® Super SpinTM and Reel ’Em In® Compete To WinTM. These games offer the excitement of playing and joining in with other players in bonus rounds. Read Bill Burton’s “Playing Together Adds to Slot Fun” on page 6 for the advantages of community slot play. Plus, don’t miss out on the fun of the new JAWSTM slot, playing at most Southern California casinos. These are just a few of the new games in store for you at your next casino visit.
We’ve been very busy at the Southern California Gaming Guide receiving all your surveys that will determine the Reader’s Choice Best of Southern California GamingTM awards for 2009. Completed surveys have been entered into a drawing that will take place in September for $3,000 in cash prizes and award- winning Phantom EFX computer games. I hope you voted for your favorite slots and best casinos. The October 2009 issue will report the results of our seventh annual Reader’s Choice Awards and announce the Best of Southern California GamingTM for 2009. Prize winners will be posted online on October 1st and will also be listed in the October issue. You may be one of our lucky cash winners or a winner of a fun Phantom EFX computer game.
Time is racing by, and it seems only a few months ago when we began 2009, and now it’s more than half way to 2010! At least we can count on more summer months than most parts of the country—climate-wise, that is. So take advantage of the great summer weather, and, of course, cool down for some hot fun at the casinos.
Enjoy August, and always keep your play fun at the casinos.
