California casino players. Every year for the past six years we
have asked the readers of the Southern California Gaming Guide to tell us their favorite casinos and slots—those that they think rate the Best of Southern California Gaming awards.
And this year, here are their 2009 choices. ese awards represent the results of the seventh annual Reader’s Choice Award poll. These awards are not chosen by our editorial staff, but by our readers. During June and July this year, Southern California Gaming Guide readers responded from all over Southern California with either mail-in ballots that appeared in the June issue, or via online ballot.
We know all Southern California casinos are winners, but for our readers, some stand out for their extraordinary service, generous player’s clubs and comps, incredible promotions, fantastic bu ets and restaurants, beautiful hotel rooms, and headlining entertainment. A total of 28 “Best of ” categories were polled this year, including ve best slot machine awards.

e big casino winners this year include Barona Resort & Casino, with 16 awards; Valley View Casino and Viejas Casino, both with 10 awards; Harrah’s Rincon and Pechanga Resort & Casino, both with seven awards;
Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, with six awards, and Sycuan Casino, with ve awards. But keep in mind that Southern California casinos are among the best in the country, so these Reader’s Choice Awards have gone to the Best of the Best!
