Happy 2010 — A New Decade!
It’s a new year and the beginning of a new decade. It’s time to put the past behind and look forward to the new. ere’s much that we can celebrate in the rst decade of the 21st century, and events that will remain infamous forever. I celebrate 2010 and the coming decade, and look forward to years of doing what I love: publishing the Southern California Gaming GuideTM and now, our expanded awesome web site, the Gaming GuideTM. It’s been in the works for a while now, and I believe worth the wait. Here are just a few things you can nd at www.TheGamingGuide.com as of January, 2010:
• A complete list of all California Indian casinos with links to their web sites plus maps and directions. • e online version of the Southern California Gaming GuideTM current and past issues.
• Featured Southern California casinos—advertising casinos in the Southern California Gaming Guide. • Special monthly online features and casino o ers.
• An online store that features products we love. No junk. Just entertaining and useful items at reasonable prices. And a lot more! Tell us what you think, and what else you’d like to see on our expanded new web site.
We begin 2010, our ninth year of publishing the Southern California Gaming Guide, by introducing a fantastic
new slot, the Sex and the CityTM Multi-Level Progressive. Based, of course, on the worldwide television and movie phenomenon, Sex and the CityTM Slots feature characters, soundtracks and video clips from the television show on IGT’s exciting MultiPLAY slot platform. Read about this delightful and exciting new slot starting on page 18.
I can’t think of a better way to start o the new decade than with a new perspective. Writer and casino player, Gail Anders says there are some sure ways to Get Lucky in the New Year. Read about her ideas on page 29.
We hear from readers consistently that they look for value for their play at casinos, and Southern California casinos are delivering just that. ere are more great cash promotions, fantastic perks, including free play—and exciting jackpots. We began a new feature a few months ago called Extraordinary Values at the Casinos (page 27) , and are happy to hear how much you like it.
When we created the Southern California Gaming Guide eight years ago, we established this monthly newspaper as an advocate for Responsible Gaming. Making news available about Southern California casinos and exciting slots is a great service to casino players, and judging from your constant letters, phone calls, and e-mails, we know the Southern California Gaming Guide delivers what you want to read. Gaming is entertainment and intended to be fun. In this challenging economy it is important to remember to play responsibly and keep your casino play fun.
Our sta , contributors and I wish you a fantastic 2010. May you have good health, good luck and may all your casino dreams come true.
Always remember to wager wisely, and keep your play fun at the casinos!
