Since 2002, the Gaming Guide has delivered Southern California casino news and slot features for 100 issues. We’ve chronicled almost a billion dollars of Southern California casino jackpots, reported on numerous Southern California casino openings and expansions, given out hundreds of Best of Southern California GamingTM Readers Choice Awards, and delivered Southern California casino news to hundreds of thousands casino player readers each month.
It’s been over eight years since we began Southern California’s only casino guide. In February 2002, we published the premiere issue of e San Diego Gaming GuideTM. And six issues later in July 2002, as a result of overwhelming reader and advertiser requests, we expanded
the guide to include all of Southern California casinos, renaming it the
Southern California Gaming GuideTM. And since then, we’ve become Southern California’s only casino player publication with over 450,000 readers each month.
From the beginning, our goal has been to
promote gaming as entertainment, promote responsible gaming, and provide monthly news and information on Southern California Indian casinos.
And a lot has changed in the Southern California casino world since 2002. Many Southern California casinos have expanded to casino resorts. In 2002, there were 19 casinos and only four were casino resorts in Southern California. In 2010, there are 23 casinos and 11 are casino resorts.
Plus, there have been astonishing changes in the games we play at the casinos, and we’ve kept readers current on the latest new slot games. From celebrity and television show favorites to mega lm franchise themed slots, and current 3-d games, we’ve featured them all.
And since 2003, we have delivered the results of our annual Best of Southern California GamingTM Reader’s Choice Awards survey. Every year, readers have a chance to voice their opinions that determine the annual Best of Southern California Gaming Reader’s Choice Awards.
e Southern California Gaming Guide is a free, monthly print newspaper in magazine design, and attracts a wide readership. More and more diverse ages and groups of players now frequent casinos.
And while the current talk in publishing is all about digital and online publications, we also
know readers, like
you, want your free,
monthly print copy of the Southern Cali- fornia Gaming Guide. But since 2002, the Southern California Gaming Guide has also been an online, page-by-page digital publication, and that will never change.
Our recently expanded web site at www.TheGamingGuide.com now features all California Indian casinos, along with maps and directions. Special sections on new slot games and Southern California Gaming Guide Featured Casinos are online reader favorites. And in coming months we plan to add more special online features, contests and exciting new games. Take an online tour through our Past Issues to see the evolution of the Southern California Gaming Guide. And stay tuned...we’re betting on another 100 more!
