Uruk-hai Battle Bonus (Unlocked at Mile 150)
The Uruk-hai Battle Bonus is a spinning reel battle. For each round in the Uruk-hai Bonus, an enemy is chosen on the top screen and a credit value appears in front of him. Then the horizontal reel on the top screen spins, highlighting the number of total enemies, which ranges from 3 to 6 for the smaller enemies.
Then, the left-most active Fellowship Reel on the bottom screen spins. The result of that spin is compared to the Enemy Total. If the Fellowship Reel total is equal to or greater than the enemy total, the enemy is defeated, disappears, and the credits are awarded. If the Enemy Total is greater than the Fellowship Reel, however, that member of the Fellowship is lost and the battle continues to the next Fellowship Reel on the bottom. The fifth reel contains a revive symbol that acts as an automatic win and re-activates all five Fellowship Reels.
If the four smaller enemies are defeated on the top screen, the battle moves to the large Urk-hai. At this point, the top screen reel values increase and the possible number of enemies ranges from 6 to 9. The large Urk-hai may be defeated up to five times, and each time he is defeated, his credit value increases. Spins continue until all Fellowship Reels have been defeated or the large Urk-hai has been defeated five times.
