We all look for values everywhere these days, and the casino is no exception. Last year we began the feature Extraordinary Casino Values and it has fast become a reader favorite. It’s so popular, that on the rare month we don’t include it, we receive an avalanche of e-mails and calls. See page 27 this month for some not-to-be-missed November casino values.
Check out our web site at www.TheGamingGuide.com for the 2010 Reader’s Choice Award Drawing Winners’ photos. Many of the 2010 winners were camera shy, but you can read about them and plan to see your photo next year online.
National American Indian Heritage Month is celebrated every year in November to honor and recognize the original people of this land. e rst “American Indian Day” was declared by the State of New York in 1916, but a month long recognition of Native Americans was not achieved until 1990. In that year President George H. W. Bush signed a joint congressional resolution designating November 1990 as National American Indian Heritage Month. We support organizations and events that advance historical and cultural values of Native peoples.
And we give special thanks to all armed service members on Veteran’s Day, November 11th and especially during the holiday season. Families of service members make huge sacri ces and we hold them in gratitude and esteem.
In this season of anksgiving, we are reminded that we have much to be thankful for. We thank our readers and advertisers for making the Southern California Gaming GuideTM your resource for casino news and information. In the spirit of the season, we wish you all a very happy holiday.
Have a wonderful anksgiving. And wager wisely and keep your play fun at the casinos!
