open the second week in
September, in time for the
NFL season opener.) “East County has really lacked a great sports bar,” says Tabor.
“And this is going to be San Diego County’s best sports bar, period.”
GameDay will feature 39 large screen televisions, including ve 100-inch Holodisplay projection tvs. ere will be 12 beers on tap as well as a full cocktail bar, and guests will be able to order great casual food like pizzas, bbq, and dozens
of appetizer choices. ere are even 29 bar-top video poker machines for those who’d like to continue to play while they
watch the game.

Paipa’s New Surf & Turf Buffet
Another of the changes in the smoke-free wing is the new Paipa’s Buffet. “We kept hearing from our players that they’d love to have the bu et area be 100% smoke free,” says Tabor. So the bu et was moved from its old location to the smoke-free wing.
Other improvements to the bu et were implemented as well: the seating capacity was enlarged and a whole new dining area was designed. e new bu et boasts a very fresh, modern look—bright colors and bold décor in a wide-open space. Small sculptures and art pieces accent the dining area and enhance the bu et service area.
e food has been updated as well— Sycuan now o ers a “surf and turf ” bu et that features snow crab legs, chilled shrimp and sushi, as well as a carving station that

memorabilia. Many items will be displayed in designated Chargers- and Padres-themed seating areas, providing the perfect place for sports fans to watch the game.
Grand Re-Opening Event
With the renovation complete, Sycuan is now turning its attention to a celebratory party to o cially launch the new casino to all of San Diego. On the weekend of September 24th and 25th, Sycuan will host its Grand Re-Opening Celebration. is weekend-long event will feature $75,000 in cash and prize giveaways. All Club Sycuan members will be able to swipe their Club card to participate in hourly cash drawings, and all who swipe will also receive a free commemorative T-shirt (while supplies last).
