Poway Man Wins $399,862 Colossal Coin Jackpot at VJalley View Casino & Hotel
essie Ablang from Poway received a nice post-Christmas gift when he hit the Colossal Coin jackpot at Valley View Casino & Hotel for $399,862.13! Jessie put just $20 into a penny Pompeii slot machine in Valley View Casino’s non-smoking casino addition on the evening of Tuesday,
December 27th. While he played, he couldn’t help but be a little jealous when he noticed that the man sitting next to him, who was also playing a Pompeii machine, hit a special bonus round. Jessie was down to the last ve cents on his machine when all of a sudden the slot froze. He thought that it was broken, and solicited the attention of a nearby Valley View Casino employee. When Valley View Casino Floor Manager Raul Villalobos told Jessie that his machine was not broken, but that he had just hit the casino’s internal mystery progressive Colossal Coin jackpot for almost $400,000,
Jessie’s immediate response was one of total
disbelief and shock, and all he was able to utter
was,“I did?!?”
e following day the casino held a special check
presentation for Jessie at the Main Stage Bar where Jessie was presented with a giant check by San Pasqual Casino Development Group Inc. President/CEO Joe Navarro, General Manager Bruce Howard and Vice President of Slots Randy Reedy.
“We couldn’t be happier to award this life-changing jackpot to Jessie, one of our loyal guests,” said Howard. “ e fact that this jackpot is awarded in one lump sum, and not an annuity, means that this jackpot can really
impact lives and it is a pleasure to be able to give someone that kind of gift during the holiday season.”
“On behalf of the San Pasqual Tribe and the San Pasqual Casino Development Group Inc., we congratulate Jessie,” said Navarro.“We re already looking forward to the next big winner, and you never know just when it will be!”
Jessie is a loyal guest at Valley View Casino and said he loves Valley View because it has the loosest slots and the best food—especially the all-you-can-eat-lobster bu et where Jessie says he has been known to eat up to ten lobsters in one sitting! When asked how he would spend his winnings, Jessie said he would likely use the money to pay for his house.
e Colossal Coin jackpot can hit at any time, on any of Valley View Casino & Hotel’s 2,000 Certi ed Loose
