entered into a drawing for 40 exciting prizes, and an independent rm tallied the ballots and drew the 40 winners at random. Drawing prizes included cash awards of $500, $400, $300, $200, and $100. hristopher Koerner from Linda Vista in San Diego feasted his way to winning ve years’ worth of free lobster bu et visits thanks to
Valley View Casino & Hotel. The Maine Event, an
eating contest that featured gourmet Maine lobster, was hosted by San Diego 6’s Ruben Galvan and KyXy’s Kevin Dean and challenged twelve contestants to nish a platter full of gourmet food in twenty minutes or less. On October 23rd, the twelve hopefuls indulged in the lobster feast cheered on by a crowd of fans. Christopher came out on top after he ate 5 lbs. of roasted Maine lobster tails, 1 lb. of buttery mashed potatoes, 1 lb. of sweet corn, 1 lb. of blue cheese bacon coleslaw, 1 lb. of freshly baked dinner rolls and 1 lb. of homemade apple cobbler — all in 5 minutes and 36 seconds!
When asked how he felt about winning, Christopher responded,“I’m still hungry! I’m actually going to the bu et
after this.”
