disbelief when he realized he’d won. His entire family was there to cheer him on, which made the win even more exciting. Keith said number 14 just happens to be his wife’s birthday.

Agua Caliente Casino ResortSpa Gives Away $150,000 in Treasure Hunt
t. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, proved to be very lucky for ten winners in the Treasure Hunt drawing at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa. Instead of a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the winners found a treasure chest full of thousands of dollars in cash.
Each player in the grand  nale drawing had a chance to win between $2,000 and $10,000, with one winner taking home the ultimate $85,000 prize. Carol G. of Burbank, (pictured left) opened the grand-prize chest. She said it was her  rst big win, and described it as a life-changing experience. Carol plans to use her winnings to pay for her grandchildren’s education. Four local players also won big. Donna K. of Rancho Mirage won $10,000, David H. of Palm Desert won $8,000, Robert G. of Palm Springs won $7,000 and Cheryl M. of Rancho Mirage won $5,000. Each guest won their spot in the grand  nale, after winning drawings for $2,000 in Paradise Rewards Cash Play.
Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa, in Rancho Mirage and Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs launched the $300,000 Treasure Hunt promotion in January. Paradise Rewards Club members earned free, daily entries into the drawings and even more chances to win, the more they played. Spa Resort Casino had its drawing day on February 10th, when it also gave away a total of $150,000 in cash prizes, for a total of $300,000 for both casinos.

oinciding with the upcoming celebration of Earth Day, April 22nd, Valley View Casino & Hotel recently announced that as a result of a recycling program implemented in 2009, the property has recycled over 3,000,000 pounds of paper, glass, non-ferrous metals, and plastic in under  ve
years.  e recycling initiative covers all waste from back-of-the-house operations, and with the help of all 1,000 team members, Valley View Casino & Hotel reached this signi cant milestone.

Since the o cial launch of the program, Valley View Casino & Hotel has worked with the environmental
services and facilities department to collect recyclables daily to be picked up by two local San Diego County recyclers: Allied Waste for paper, glass, and scrap metal, and the Escondido Recycling Center for plastic and aluminum.
“After consolidating all of the recycling center receipts and paperwork, we were thrilled to discover we had recycled over 1,500 tons since April of 2009,” said Larry Chapp, Director of Purchasing at
