Harrah’s Rincon Expansion Debuts New Pools and Restaurant in July
arrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort will unveil its newly expanded pool area and a new restaurant during the resort’s grand opening celebration on Saturday, July 13th.  e pool named Dive Dayclub and restaurant, ’ritas Cantina, make up the  rst phase of Harrah’s
Rincon’s $160 million expansion.
Dive Dayclub features a trifecta of pools: Harrah’s newly renovated main pool, a brand new lazy river, and Southern California’s only swim-up bar. Also debuting July 13th is Adult Swim Saturdays, a 21-and-up dayclub featuring live DJs every week through September. In addition to three pools, Dive boasts 9 hot tubs, 21 cabanas and 9 daybeds for guests to enjoy. Dive will showcase live electronic dance music talent each weekend. Other weekly events at Dive will include Reggae Sundays and Service Industry Mondays.
’ritas Cantina, opening July 8th, is a full-service indoor- outdoor Mexican restaurant featuring casual Baja- inspired fare and specialty margaritas using fresh, seasonal
ingredients, including the Avocado ’rita, Pepper Melon ’rita, and Cucumber ’rita.  e restaurant includes a food
truck that opens up to the interior of the resort, allowing guests to order grab-and-go items.
“As the only Harrah’s property in California, we wanted to create a brand new experience that exceeds those of other resorts in the region,” said Janet Beronio, General Manager of Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort. “We are located less than two hours away from most cities in Southern California, so we hope to draw guests seeking a fun day trip that still feels like a getaway.”
Other elements of the Harrah’s Rincon expansion include a 23,000-square-foot convention and entertainment center, a new lobby lounge and a craft beer and wine bar, all opening by December 2013. Additional parking and a

Magni cent Seven outlasted 571 other players in a 12-hour poker marathon on June 8th, to split the top prize in the 2013 Central Coast Poker Championship at the Chumash Casino Resort. After eliminating two players from the nine-handed  nal table, the  nal seven players opted to share the
remaining prize money evenly and walk away with about $7,500 apiece.  e winners (pictured L to R) were Jeremy Tilton of Monterey, Dante Tabing of Oxnard, Terri Chase of Santa Maria, Joel Dalida of Camarillo, Felix Pacquing of Redwood City, Rob Raede of Santa Barbara, and Isaias Reyes of Carpinteria (not pictured).
Entrants paid a $180 buy-in ($160 for early-bird registration) to compete in the $50,000 Central Coast Poker Championship, which added a bonus $10,000 Main Event seat to the prize pool. Action began at 9 a.m. on nearly 60 tables that  lled the Samala Showroom, and the entries were capped after the  rst one-hour level for a total of 578 players.  e Top 80 players won prize money, ranging from $1,457 for 8th place to $324 for 80th place. With more than $40,000 and the $10,000 Main Event seat at stake, the  nal seven players, most of whom had large chip stacks, decided to chop the remaining pot, including the Main Event seat money, rather than enter their twelfth hour of action.
 e Central Coast Poker Championship, which is an aged 18-and-over event, is one of two large poker tournaments that consumes the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom each year.  e date for the 2013 Central Coast Fall Poker Classic will be announced in the coming months. Monthly Year of the Millionaire Drawing WHinners at Harrah’s Rincon
arrrah’s Rincon Casino will make one lucky Total Rewards member a millionaire in a drawing held on December 31st, but leading up to that life-changing event, you could win a share
of $100,000 in cash and free play each month. Monthly Year of the Millionaire drawings are held the last Saturday of the month (this month, on July 26th), and the entry earnings for these drawings ends at 10:30 p.m. on the drawing date. You must activate your monthly entries at one of the Promotional Kiosks or the Promotions Center from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 26th. In May, Nellie R. from Laguna Woods (pictured left) and Samuel H. from San Diego (pictured right) each won $25,000 cash!
