National American Indian Heritage Month is celebrated every year in November to honor and recognize the original people of this land. e rst “American Indian Day” was declared by the State of New York in 1916, but a month long recognition of Native Americans was not achieved until 1990. In that year President George H. W. Bush signed a joint congressional resolution designating November 1990 as National American Indian Heritage Month. Also, read about Native American Heritage Day, Friday, November 28th, on page 25.
e Southern California Gaming Guide extended family has loved ones who serve in the armed forces around the globe, and we’d like to give special thanks and acknowledge them, along with remembering all armed service members on Veteran’s Day, November 11th. Families of service members make huge sacri ces and we thank them and hold them in great esteem.
And in the upcoming season of anksgiving, we are reminded that we have so much to be thankful for. We thank our readers and advertisers for making the Southern California Gaming Guide your monthly resource for casino news and information.
