Reader’s Choice 2015 Best Casinos
It’s awards season once again, and we’re proud to present the Reader’s Choice 2015 Best Casinos. Every year, for the past 13 years, we invite our readers to vote for the Best Casinos in Southern California. Voting is based on 22 Southern California Indian casinos, and this year there were 17 voting categories, each with
1st, 2nd and 3rd places, for a total of 51 awards.
Casinos are thrilled to have players’ votes, as everyone knows, only Southern California casino players can
determine Southern California’s best casinos. We believe these awards go to the best of the best, as we also believe all Southern California casinos are winners. Please note that our awards are chosen by our readers, and not by the Southern California Gaming GuideTM sta . Our voting policy limits one ballot per voter, so no one can vote 5, 10, 20 or even more times. So our awards go to casinos that our collective readers truly think are the best.
Congratulations to the 2015 Best Casinos winners! Over the years there are repeat winners, with several of the larger casino properties in the highest ranks. For those casinos consistently at the top, kudos that they evolve each year to maintain and continue to create the best gaming venues o ering their guests more ways to win, and delivering what players want: more value and fun.
In fact, casino players tell us each year clearly what they want, and they want it all: the best amenities, the most fun experience where they can play longer, enjoy great meals, stays and deals. And, above all, they want to win. e 2015 Best Casinos have all that.
ank you, every reader, who took the time to vote by lling out the ballot online and lling out the printed ballot in the June issue and mailing it to us. is year we had thousands of responses from casino players all over Southern California — and also from Arizona and Nevada — who read the Southern California Gaming Guide each month. e Reader’s Choice 2015 Best Casinos begin on page 15.
As a thank you for lling out and sending us ballots each year, we enter all completed ballots into a drawing to give away cash prizes. On page 18, you can check out the 2015 Best Casinos Drawing Winners to nd out who won the ve cash prizes. We’re awaiting photos of the cash winners and will post them on our Facebook page, Facebook.com/TheGamingGuide as we receive them. And this year we also gave away Southern California Gaming Guide led ashlight key chains and stainless steel water bottles to the rst 100 voters with completed ballots. anks to everyone who voted!
Enjoy the September Labor Day weekend, and remember always keep your play fun at the casino!

What is Problem Gambling?
Problem Gambling, or Compulsive Gambling is a progressive illness. People who have this illness may look normal. However, when untreated, the illness can progress until it destroys you personally and financially. It can devastate your family, friends, and affect all who know you.
The Signs of Problem Gambling
Everyone needs to recognize the signs of Problem Gambling. You can help those close to you by being alert to the following danger signs:
• An inability to stop gambling.
• A fixation on anything connected with gambling. • Secrecy, lying or personality changes.
• Financial problems.
According to a major survey, problem gambling affects approximately 3.7% of the people in California. That’s almost 1 million adults in our State alone. Gambling problems can affect anyone, anywhere, anytime — regardless of age, gender or race. Problem gamblers:
• Cost the U.S. $7 billion annually due to crime, bankruptcy and addiction.
• Get arrested about 3 times as often as people without gambling problems.
• Are 2–8 times more likely to binge drink, smoke or do drugs.
• Commit suicide more than any other group of people suffering from addiction.
• Called the CA gambling helpline more than 200,000 times since 1998.
• Are unable to control their urges without getting help!
Is Problem Gambling Really That Serious?
Help is Available! Call the Problem Gambling Helpline 1-800-GAMBLER to speak to a gambling counselor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or to request FREE literature.
