W SoCal Players Get Their Winning On!
e hear from our casino player readers a lot these days about winning. ey want us to tell them where to play to be a sure winner. Winning at a casino requires a mix of a number of factors, including the game you play, your timing — down to the micro second you push the Spin button if you’re a slot
player — and the casino. We can’t tell you where you’ll be a guaranteed winner because we don’t know. But we can show you where casino players win each month on our Big Winners page and in our two annual Winners’ cover features. In this month’s feature, Big Winners! SoCal Casino Players Get Their Winning On, we feature
32 big winners from the past few months. You’ll see the smiling and sometimes awe-struck jackpot and car winners beginning on page 16. And, remember, these are just a very few of featured casinos’ big winners. Some casino players choose not to share the news of their good luck.
Which brings me to our other feature, So You Want to Win a Million..., on page 9. Written by a former slot manufacturer marketer, Cee Stuart, who points out that big winners may be camera shy to keep their good luck close to home. But, it’s not the people you don’t know who will end up asking you for a piece of your jackpot; it’s the people you know. Take a look at her ve suggestions for what to do when you win really big.
is article is a reprint, as we’ve had many reader requests for it. Remember, you can access past articles online at TheGamingGuide.com, but we’re pleased to present this fun and informative article this month.
October always brings thrilling casino promotions and great entertainment. See the Don’t Miss List on page 10, a must-read each month for some of the best events at Southern California casinos. And be sure you check out the Players Club Promotions on pages 26 and 29. You’ll also want to know about the exciting Football and Halloween fun casino promotions and events listed in Gaming News on pages 13 and 14.
Press Time News Flash: We were informed that Stater Brothers will no longer have racks of free publications as of October 1st. You can always pick up a free copy of the Southern California Gaming GuideTM at Ralphs, Albertsons, Savon Drugs, select 7-Elevens, K-Marts, and CVS stores, plus many independent grocery, tness, tourist centers, and other locations throughout Southern California. And just added: select ampm stores in the Inland Empire.
