arona Resort & Casino was recently named Business of the Year for Entertainment & Recreation at the Annual East County Honors Gala hosted by the East County Chamber of Commerce in San Diego’s East County.
 e Annual East County Honors Gala has become the premier celebration in San Diego’s East County, honoring businesses and individuals for their accomplishments and recognizing the tremendous and lasting impact they have
made in the community.
 e honorees at the gala were chosen
because they exhibited outstanding customer service, a positive reputation, and consistently delivered high-quality products, services, and experiences.
“Barona is proud to be a strong economic engine in the community and one of the largest creators of local jobs,” said Rick Salinas, General Manager of Barona Resort & Casino. “More than 70 percent of our 3,000 sta  members live in the East County and we consider them to be family. We’ve made a long-term investment
in Barona and the experience we create at the casino, hotel and the golf course. We will always be working to maintain a fun atmosphere and the best possible environment for both our guests and sta .”
In 2015 Barona Resort & Casino was voted  rst place Loosest Slots Casino, Best Casino, Luckiest Casino, Best Service, Best Promotions, Best Blackjack, and Best Golf Course by the readers of the Southern California Gaming GuideTM in its annual Reader’s Choice Awards. And Barona was also voted Best Casino and Loosest Slots for the 5th year in a row along with 12 other awards
in the 2015 San Diego’s Best Union-Tribune Readers Poll awards.
