$100,000 Summer Poker Series at Chumash Casino Resort
Visitors who have made the trip to Santa Barbara’s beautiful wine country and experienced Chumash Casino Resort in the past will be blown away by the property’s recent changes into a world-class resort. e sleek $165 million transformation of the facility is now complete with a 12-story hotel tower, an exquisite rooftop pool, a spacious and tranquil spa, multiple food outlets, a new poker room, and an expanded casino oor.
In celebration of the expansion, the casino will host its rst-ever Summer Poker Series, featuring tournaments in both its new Poker Room and the freshly renovated Samala Showroom, on
August 15th to 21st. e series will culminate with Chumash Casino Resort’s Grand Poker Open, a two-day, $100,000 guaranteed tournament that begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 20th in the Samala Showroom. It will feature a $300 buy-
in, 30-minute levels (60-minute levels for the nal table) and re-entries permitted until the end of the eighth level. e Summer Poker Series features Grand Poker Open satellite tournaments with a $55 entry
fee at 7 p.m. from Monday, August 15th through ursday, August 18th, in the new Poker Room. On Friday
night, a $7,500 guaranteed
Warm-Up for the Grand Poker Open will be o ered with a $150 buy-in at 7 p.m.
At 10:15 a.m. each morning throughout the week, there will be various No-Limit Hold’em tournaments and
a Big O tournament o ered with $40 buy-ins. On Sunday, August 21st, there will also be a No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a $90 buy-in
