We’re celebrating 15 years of publishing the Southern California Gaming GuideTM this month. Since February 2002, we’ve delivered casino and slot news to Southern California casino players, and reported on almost $2 billion of jackpots and thousands of winners. Last year the

ere are lots of fun holidays this month, so check out the cover feature, February Fun!, to nd out how Southern California casinos are celebrating Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, President’s Day, and Mardi Gras. All the holiday events are in addition to featured casinos’ fabulous cash and car giveaways each month. ere are holiday hot seats, free play, gift giveaways and lots more. It’s not too early to begin your 2016 tax return preparations. So this month we feature contributing writer, Gail Anders’ Casino Player Tax Tips on page 14. is is a feature that Anders updates for us each year. She reminds casino players that gambling winnings are taxable, and since we all want, of course, to keep as much of our winnings as possible, there are a few essential steps to follow to make sure you help yourself when preparing your tax return.
Over the years, I’ve used this space to acknowledge and thank all Southern California servicemen and women and their families for their sacri ces for our country all over the world. Many of our extended publishing family have completed their service tours, but to all those who have served and are still serving, we thank you for your service and wish you all a safe landing home soon.
Meanwhile, always keep your casino experience entertaining. Keep your play fun, and wager wisely at the casinos.
