This month is one of my favorite cover features: Winners! And, I know it’s one of yours, too. We get to see the happy (mostly) faces of recent jackpot winners from the rst three months of 2018. Over the past few months we have written about or shown hundreds of thousands of dollars of casino
winnings and prizes on our Gaming News and Big Winners pages. And, as we always say, what we show is just the tip of the mountain of big cash and prizes that have been won at featured casinos. Read the latest news of slot, table game, and promotion jackpots and see the winners’ photos on pages 16, 17 and 19. And, remember, these are just a few of featured casinos’ big winners. Some casino players choose not to share the news of their good luck.
We all want to win big when we go to the casino, and some players even choose special days to play to bring them good luck. Check out page 25 for Lucky Thirteen: Will Friday the 13th Be Your Lucky Day? Many contrarian casino players make a point of playing on the 13th of each month, and particularly on Friday 13th, while some eschew the day. If you play this month on Friday 13th, I hope you make it your lucky day.
Get Ready to Vote for Your Favorite Slots in May!
We all love to play slots, and next month, you’ll have a chance to vote for your favorite games in the Southern California Gaming Guide Reader’s Choice 2018 Best SlotsTM. Voting in the Reader’s Poll for Best Slots is online only at TheGamingGuide.com. Your favorite slot choices will determine the 2018 Best Slots. An independent source will tally the results of all online completed reader ballots and the Southern California Gaming Guide 2018 Best Slots will be announced in the July issue. And when you vote, as in every year, you’ll be entered into a drawing for exciting cash prizes! Look for more news about the Reader’s Choice 2018 Best Slots next month.
Over the years, I’ve used this space to acknowledge and thank all Southern California servicemen and women and their families for their sacri ces for our country all over the world. Many of our extended publishing family have completed their service tours, but to all those who are still serving and have served, we thank you for your service and wish you all a safe landing home soon.
Always keep your casino experience entertaining. Keep your play fun at the casinos.
