2018 National TournEvent of Champions Winner
Following the electrifying slot tournament competition on October 10, 2018, in Las Vegas, Tanya S. representing Pines Restaurant and Casino, Evergreen Park, in Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada, won the grand prize of $1 million and a cruise for two on a Norwegian Cruise Line® ship. Tanya overcame
166 of the top slot players in North America to be crowned the TournEvent of Champions winner.
The 2018 TournEvent of Champions kicked off in May 2018 and featured three tour buses and The Money Man traveling nearly 50,000 miles across the United States and Canada to visit 104 partner casinos. More than 200,000 participants competed
in TournEvent qualifiers to identify the top 166 players who competed at The Million Dollar Event. The finale was streamed live on the TournEvent of Champions and Super Jackpot SlotsTM Community Casino Facebook pages.
As a precursor to The Million Dollar Event, Everi held a skill- based slot tournament based on the fiercely popular app Fruit NinjaTM earlier in the day on October 10th, in Everi’s booth at
the Global Gaming Expo®, the largest gathering of global, commercial, and tribal gaming professionals in North America. Played on Everi’s award- winning TournEvent® slot tournament solution, nearly all 166 TournEvent of Champions finalists and their guests competed for 14 spots in the Fruit Ninja tournament championship held that evening during The Million Dollar Event with the winner taking home $5,000.
How to Get Involved
Be sure to get into the action-packed slot tournament fun and in the running for the 2019 TournEvent of Champions title and $1 million grand prize. Below are three easy steps to get involved.
Step One: Semi-Finals
Play in a participating casino’s qualifying or invitational slot tournament before their posted final qualifying event and in advance of the casino’s semi-final tournament. Win a Golden PassTM to earn a place at The Million Dollar Event in Las Vegas. You can learn more specific ways to earn a Golden
Pass directly from a participating casino of your choice.
Step Two:
In-Casino Finals Return with your Golden Pass and prove you have what it takes to claim the top spot to represent your participating casino by competing against other Golden Pass earners at your casino’s final tournament.
Step Three: The Million Dollar Event
If you are one of the California participating casino representatives, pack your bags and your good luck charm as you and your guest head to Las Vegas to play in the championship event on October 16th, at the Wynn/Encore Resort in the XS Nightclub for the crown and your share of more than $1.3 million!
