Valley View Casino & Hotel Valley View Casino & Hotel reopened on Friday, May 22nd. On the casino’s website, General Manager Bruce Howard said, “The safety of our guests, our team members and our local community remains our highest priority. We are happy to announce that we have reopened our casino, our hotel and our restaurants. In addition to offering our guests a more spacious casino, including an expanded non-smoking area, a hotel with reduced capacity, and fewer tables and chairs in all of our restaurants, bars and lounges, we have taken quite a few additional safety precautions that you will notice when you return. “Included in our precautionary measures is now a requirement for all of our guests and all of our team members to wear an appropriate face mask while in our casino. We will continue to do everything we possibly can to ensure your safety and your good health.” In an article in the Valley Roadrunner, Valley View Casino said that on entering, all guests and team members must wear a mask and will automatically have their temperatures scanned by an electronic imaging machine. If the temperature is elevated, individuals will be asked to step out of line for a forehead temperature check with a handheld device. On the casino floor, guests will find about 40% of slot machines shut down, and no more than three chairs per Table Game. For Table Games, only the dealer touches the card. Guests must wear clear gloves to handle chips, and dealers will monitor them to ensure they’re not touching their faces. Wearing gloves is not optional, and anyone who refuses will be asked to leave the table. The casino will also keep a running total of guests and when it hits a predetermined capacity, new guests may only enter as others leave. The closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Temperature scanners, hand sanitizers, personal protective equipment, limits of occupancy capacity, added spacing between slot machines, and limited seating at Table Games are the new normal to provide a safe environment for casino employees and guests. If you’re planning to go, remember to bring a face covering and expect a new experience. Here’s a guide to featured casinos’ reopenings, as of May 29th. Check with casinos online for current updates.
