  ...continued from page 13 In addition to these cleaning efforts, Viejas has also recently invested in new cutting edge UV germicidal technology that will be utilized to clean and sanitize the property every day (see page 15). This investment is a scaled approach that will eventually protect guests passively, providing medical-grade, hospital clean conditions not matched anywhere else. Viejas guests can expect to see some changes throughout the resort to protect the health of all guests and team members including the following. Temperature: Upon entry to the resort each guest and team member will be subject to a scan for symptoms and a contactless temporal scan. Those exhibiting a fever or symptoms will be asked to return at a later date when symptoms are clear. Hand Sanitizing & Face Coverings: The property currently has hand sanitization stations for employee and guest use. They are located at each entry, food venue and throughout the resort. Masks will be required for all guests and team members. Guests should be prepared to provide their own mask, as a limited supply will be available. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed in the casino, restaurants or hotel. Distancing & Disinfecting: All dining venues have reduced seating capacity to maintain social distancing guidelines. Bar seating is not accessible to ensure safe practices. Face shields and safety barriers will be placed in close contact areas. Guests can expect markings on the floors in front of cage cashiers, myViejas Rewards Club, hotel front desks, kiosks, ATMs, V Store, and promotional service areas. In addition to routine cleaning, the property has implemented enhanced cleaning procedures including increasing the frequency of disinfecting restrooms to every hour, sanitizing gaming machines multiple times during shifts, as well as sanitizing door handles, doors, courtesy phones, tables, chairs, handrails, and other high touch and high traffic areas multiple times a day. Agua Caliente Casinos The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians reopened its casinos in Palm Viejas Casino & Resort reopened on Monday, May 18th. Springs and Rancho Mirage at noon on May 22nd, with “Play it Safe” measures in place at both properties. “Upon reopening, our Tribe’s top priority will be to create and maintain the safest environment possible for everyone who interacts with our facilities, including guests, team members and vendors,” Tribal Chairman Jeff L. Grubbe said. “We have spent the past two months re-evaluating the way we do business in this new environment. We have changed our perspective and have improved upon our business practices. Our guests demand and deserve the kind of care and attention that goes into providing the highest quality experience.” “Play it Safe” measures include intense cleaning efforts utilizing an antimicrobial product throughout the tribal properties as well as temperature checks upon entry, face-covering requirements, and social distancing requirements, among other measures, for guests and team members throughout the facilities. Upon re-opening, smoking is not allowed inside the casinos. Both casinos will maintain a 50% occupancy limit, and the number of seats at Table Games and on the casino floor will be reduced. Note the following safety features currently in place Temperature: A centralized guest entry and screening includes state- of-the-art temperature kiosks for guests and team members. Hand Sanitizing & Face Coverings: All guests and team members are required to wear a face covering throughout the casino. Distancing & Disinfecting: Social distancing will be maintained at a minimum of 6 feet. Chairs at Table Games will be reduced. Increased and enhanced cleaning will be made of all touch- point areas including restrooms, countertops, slot machines, door handles, etc. At Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage, the following areas will remain closed at this time: Poker Room, Pivat, The District, La Olla, Sunstone Spa, Fitness Center, and the resort pool. The buffets at both casinos remain closed, and valet parking will not be available at either property. Guests may drop off passengers at valet and self-park in the available parking at the casino resort. For specific details and updates visit AguaCalienteCasinos.com. Please note that as of our press time Chumash Casino Resort is scheduled to open on June 10th. Casino Pauma has chosen to remain closed until further notice.  Other Southern California casinos that have reopened include: Jamul Casino (May 21st), Golden Acorn Casino (May 22nd), Harrah’s Resort Southern California (May 22nd), Morongo Casino Resort & Spa (May 22nd), Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino (May 22nd), Soboba Casino Resort (May 27th), Cahuilla Casino Hotel (May 27th), and Pechanga Resort Casino ( June 1st). Check with their websites for all details. Use your judgment to go to the casino during this time based on your health, and always, your pocketbook. When you go, bring a face covering and please adhere to each casino’s guidelines and mandates for safety.
