San Manuel Annual Charity Golf Tournament Raises $350,000
For the 22nd year, San Manuel Casino, in partnership with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, welcomed vendors, sponsorship partners, and team members to a three-day golf tournament in Orange County in August. More than 750 golfers took part in the annual event that benefitted seven nonprofit organizations from the Inland Empire, as well as Native American organizations in both Arizona and New Mexico.
San Manuel’s Strategic Philanthropy Team and Tribal leadership selected seven deserving organizations to receive $50,000. The 2021 golf tournament charity recipients included Million Kids, Hopi Education Endowment Fund, Cruz Chacon Foundation, Mountain Meals on Wheels, Foothill Family Shelter, BLU Educational Foundation, and the Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation.
“Thanks to generous support of our tournament participants, we are again funding Native American non-profits with national reach, as well as groups focused on regional needs,” said
San Manuel Tribal Secretary and Golf Committee Chair Audrey Martinez. “Together, we have raised more than $2 million to benefit 45 nonprofits over these last two decades through the San Manuel Golf Tournament.”
The event is made possible by the generosity of its participants, but specially by the contributions of title sponsors Imagine This, Penta Construction, and the Las Vegas Raiders. In addition to the Las Vegas Raiders, San Manuel also welcomed their sports partners from the LA Galaxy, LA Kings, Anaheim Ducks, LAFC, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Visit SanManuelCares.org to learn how the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians creates change in communities through charitable giving.
