Another summer has come and gone, and all too soon if I may say so. All the familiar signs of fall are slowly giving way to winter and I hope everyone is bundling up and enjoying time with family and friends. This time of year is always hallmarked by pumpkin-infused lattes or whatever the
current gourd-flavored treat might be. But November is also a fantastic time to head to the casino for amazing holiday food and a cornucopia of fun promotions. So make sure you check out pages 12, 13 and
15 for the latest in Fall Food & Fun at your local casino.
October was a bountiful month for casino patrons, so check out Gaming News on page 4 to read about
Tonja and her“Happy & Prosperous” adventure at Valley View Casino & Hotel. Plus check out our reader favorite, Big Winners! on page 26 to see who’s been winning at what casino and on what machines.
Read all about the more ways to win at your favorite local casinos, with the Players Club in Extra Casino Values on page 18. November is an awesome month for great giveaways ranging from a Ram 2500 Laramie and Montana 5th Wheel to appliances for your kitchen or living room. Remember to always play with your player’s club card and if you haven’t signed up for one, they’re free and easy to use.
We all want to treat and be treated well — especially by our neighbors — whether they live next to us, or sit next to us at the casino. And especially at the casino, where players often sit for prolonged periods of time, playing a favorite slot, or in front of a lucky dealer. Read about Golden Rules at the Casino for some good reminders of what to do and what not to do.
National American Indian Heritage Month is celebrated every year in November to honor and recognize the original people of our land. The first “American Indian Day” was declared by the State of New York in 1916, but a month long recognition of Native Americans was not achieved until 1990, and in that year, President George H. W. Bush signed a joint congressional resolution designating November
1990 as National American Indian Heritage Month.
All of us at the Southern California Gaming GuideTM would like to give special thanks and
acknowledgement to veterans, active duty military and their families and to the memory of all armed service members on Veteran’s Day, November 11th.
Remember to always keep your casino experience entertaining and keep your play fun at the casinos.
