Pauma Bay Café Buffet
Casino Pauma’s Buffet is part of the Pauma Bay Café restaurant. The bright and cheery Pauma Bay Café is right off the table games towards the back of the casino, and has a light and airy feel. Outdoor seating is available on an adjacent patio during the day (offering a dramatic view of citrus groves and the Palomar Range foothills), and the décor and ambience is tropical.
By far the most popular nights at the Casino Pauma Buffet are Friday and Saturday for the “Prime Weekends” prime rib buffet (5:00 p.m. – 10 p.m., $10.95). Late-night diners love the new Breakfast Buffet on Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. for only $2.95. Lunch is served daily 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. ($5.95/$2.95 Senior Special 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.). Dinner served from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. ($7.95/$10.95 Friday and Saturday). Prices range from $2.95 to $10.95. Pauma gets a rave for its Breakfast Buffet (we love these and wish the hours could extend) and for its Senior Specials.
Rincon Casino — Paradise Buffet
The Paradise Buffet features a Friday Seafood Night ($16.99) with shrimp, crab legs, cat sh, salmon and “clams casino” (the classic appetizer). Paradise Buffet prices range from $6.99 to $16.99. Sunday brunch is $11.99 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. There is a lunch brunch Monday – Saturday
Paipa’s Oasis Buffet
Sycuan’s buffet boasts a beautiful room with subdued lighting in stark contrast to the bright lights and action of the casino oor. It is restful and lovely to sit in Paipa’s Oasis—yes, a real oasis—from the noise and throngs. But Paipa’s has crowds (although the design of the res- taurant separates diners from the food sections) and also has the best Asian casino food in San Diego County. Cooks prepare regional Asian dishes (Chinese, Vietnamese, once in a while Filipino) right in front of the guests, replenishing the stir-fried dishes as fast as they disappear.
The dinner buffet features all-you-can-eat peel and eat shrimp and prime rib every evening. Buffet stations include Asian Selections Bar, Traditional Bar, Specialty Bar, Carving Station, Dessert Bar, Salad Bar, and Spe- cialty Salad Bar. On Friday nights, the specialty bar features seafood. Other nights vary featuring anything from Cajun, Mexican, Pasta, American, etc. Paipa’s Oasis Buffet prices range from $8.95 to $12.95. Sycuan gets big points for its buffet design, ambience, Asian live action stations, and variety.
Paipa’s Oasis is open for Sunday Brunch (10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., $12.95), Lunch (Monday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., $8.95), and Dinner (Sunday 2:30 – 10 p.m., Monday – Thursday 4 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday 4 p.m. – 11 p.m., $12.95).

Viejas Casino — Harvest Buffet
A favorite with late-night eaters, Viejas’ Harvest Buffet (open to 11 p.m. nightly—the latest of all the casinos) has “make you own” baked potato and taco stations. The buffet room has fabulous views of the Cleveland National Forest. Every Tuesday and Wednesday is Crab & Shrimp Feast night ($10.99/ $6.99 children) from 4 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., plus all the rest of the extensive buffet fare. Pasta, pizza, roasted
