Valley View Casino to Begin Expansion this Summer
In January, of cials of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians announced that this summer Valley View Casino would begin a $30 million expansion to increase its property from 43,000 square feet
to 100,000 square feet, and create additions of a bingo hall, a four-story parking structure, a bar, steakhouse, coffee shop and an expansion of its popular live-action Market Square Buffet. The expansion will make room for additional slot machines and twice as many table games. It is slated for completion for the end of 2003.
“This marks the end of a long process to bring the tribe to its ultimate goals,” said San Pasqual Chairman Allen Lawson. “Our tribe as a whole can move forward to realize our dream of a strong economic base.”
The San Pasqual Band has approved a ve-year management agreement with Siren Gaming, LLC. Once approved by the National Indian Gaming Commission, the management agreement will allow the group to oversee day-to-day operations along with the tribe’s existing management committee. “We are very excited for the opportunity to bring our vision to Southern California,” said John Lipkowitz,
