Ernie Marshall of Santee, California, lined up the winning symbols and hit the jack- pot for $1,578,618 on a Millionaire 777s progressive slot machine at the
Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino in Lakeside, east of San Diego,
on February 15th.
“First, I’m going to buy new cars for my wife and daughter,” said the happy
winner. “We’ll also pay off all our bills,” said Marshall, who works as a skycap at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field International Airport.
Marshall, who is a regular player at Barona, was about to leave the casino when he decided to play one more machine before leaving. He hit the jackpot with $60 invested in the Millionaire 777s Blazing 7s® machine.
Marshall can choose to receive his winnings either in one lump sum or have it paid out in annual installments over the next 20 years. He is the second person to win a top Millionaire 777s jackpot in San Diego. In April of 2002 a local woman won $1.3 million at Valley View Casino in Valley Center. Millionaire 777s has now produced a total of $7,762,571.04 in top awards paid out to lucky players.
The exciting progressive slot game features an initial million-dollar top award that grows the more the games are played. The mammoth Millionaire 777s jackpot can be hit at any one of the 13 casinos throughout California that offer the Millionaire 777s games, developed and managed by Bally Gaming and Systems, a wholly owned business unit of Las Vegas-based Alliance Gaming Corporate.

“We are very excited for Randall Burklund and wish him continued good luck,” said Tim McGlynn, marketing director of Soboba Casino.
