Golden Acorn Casino “Classic Car Show II” Set for April 26th
Auto enthusiasts from all over San Diego and Imperial Counties and western Arizona will meet at the Golden Acorn Casino and Travel Center on Saturday, April 26 for the second annual Classic Car Show.
Classic Car Show II will welcome several hundred pre-1972 vehicles, including domestic
and foreign cars. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon and the show is open to the public from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. An awards presentation is set for 4 p.m., with cash prizes of $1,000 for “People’s
Choice,” $500 for “Casino’s Choice,” and $500 for “Entrant’s Choice.” Hot rods, lowriders, pickups and specialty cars are sure to be a hit with visitors. Last year’s “Casino Choice” award, a 1937 Ford Slantback was a big hit with the crowd. Registration is $15 in advance, or $20 on the day of the show. All participants will receive a commemorative “Classic Car Show II” t-shirt, door prize tickets, Golden Acorn Casino Fun Book, and a ticket to a special cook-out for competitors. The show is free to the public.
