Craps in Southern California? Popular Carde Craps offers the same rules and game as standard Las Vegas craps, only it’s played with cards instead of dice. Using 73 cards numbered 1 through 6 and one Joker, the cards are dealt
from a random shuf er that takes the place of rolling the dice (dice are currently not allowed in Southern California casinos). All wagers are exactly the same as on a standard craps game. The only additional bets are when the joker comes out rst and a player has a wager on it. There are also four bets for suited pairs coming out of the random shuf er.

Shunning a traditional grand opening, the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians wanted to avoid potential traf c and parking issues, so the casino was opened to the public quietly. The Tribe previously operated a casino from a small building and two temporary, make-shift structures for nine years.
