“Jeopardy!” Contestant Search CSet For Fantasy Springs Casino
ontestant tryouts for tv’s top-rated game show “Jeopardy!,” created by part-time La Quinta resident Merv Gri n, will take place between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on  ursday, December 4 in the
Fantasy Lounge at Fantasy Springs Casino near Indio.
Prospective contestants attending the Fantasy Springs event must be
at least 21 years of age, and present the “Jeopardy!” Clue Crew with a valid driver’s license or state id. Each prospective contestant will participate in a brief, 10-question pre-test.  ose with a passing score will be given an appointment
for an audition at an undisclosed location on December 5. Anyone who has taken a “Jeopardy!” contestant test during the past year is ineligible. Honored with 24 Daytime Emmy® Awards, more than any other syndicated game show,

Indians Select Park Place to ODevelop Caesars-Brand Casino
n September. 18, 2003 the Pauma-Yuima Band of Mission Indians selected Park Place Entertainment Corporation to negotiate agreements to develop and manage a Caesars-
branded casino on tribal lands near Pauma Valley in northern San Diego County, close to the Tribes’ current Casino Pauma. Tribal Chairman Chris Deevers announced the results of a tribal vote naming Park Place as the Tribe’s preferred partner.
“ e Pauma Tribe is excited about the opportunity to work with Park Place to create a casino resort that the Tribe and the community can be proud of,” Chairman Deevers said. Preliminary plans call for the development of “Caesars Pauma” on more than 30 acres of tribal land on California Highway 76, o  Interstate 15, just south of Temecula.  e $250-million-plus destination resort would include approximately
500 hotel rooms, more than 100,000 square feet of gaming space, a full complement of restaurants and live entertainment venues, and a spa.
As a result of the tribal vote, Park Place and the Pauma Tribe immediately began negotiating detailed development and management agreements.
 ose agreements must be concluded before construction can begin.  e management contract is subject to approval by the National Indian Gaming Commission, and other regulatory approvals also are required. Park Place Entertainment Corporation is one of the world’s leading gaming companies. Park Place owns, manages or has an interest in 29 gaming properties operating under the Caesars, Bally’s, Flamingo, Grand Casinos, Hilton and Paris brand names.  e company plans to change its name to Caesars Entertainment, Inc., e ective in January 2004.
