The World Series of Poker Circuit Tournament at
FHarrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort or 36 straight years the World Series of Poker has
been the biggest and most prestigious poker event in the
world. What began back in 1970 with a small gathering of
poker players has blossomed into a full- edged national circuit, taking place at 11 casinos operated by Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., throughout the United States. e World Series of Poker Circuit includes 12 major tournaments — including this month’s circuit tournament at Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort in San Diego from February 26th–March 8th. Harrah’s Rincon is holding the only World Series of Poker Circuit event in the state of California.
e World Series of Poker Circuit Tournament will include a variety of tournaments, including a special Ladies’
Invitational No Limit Tournament. e nal Championship event is on March 8th. See the tournament schedule in Poker Plays on page 11.
Players at Harrah’s Rincon, along with players at each Harrah’s venue, will earn points based on their performance in all circuit events. At the conclusion of the circuit, the top 100 point- earners will receive a freeroll invitation into the 2006 World Series of Poker “Tournament of Champions,” where a single winner will take home a top prize of $2 million. e 2006 Tournament of Champions will be held at the Rio All-Suites Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas June 28th–29th.
