Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Adds Sports Viewing to Race Book Lounge
ports fans can now enjoy watching an array of sports events 24 hours, seven days a week at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s newly renovated race book and sports lounge featuring 40 plasma TV’s and  ve big screen overhead projection TV’s.  e 10,000-square-foot
room will continue primarily as the Coachella Valley’s premier o -track satellite horse wagering facility under the auspices of the California Horse Racing Board. In addition to the daytime and night racing simulcasts from all major tracks shown in the room Wednesdays through Sundays, many of the TVs will display sports programming and
the major events of that day, including football, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf and boxing.
Horse racing fans are permitted to wager on races directly with state representatives manning betting windows or at kiosks, but due to state and federal restrictions, betting on other sports is not permitted in the room.
 ere is general seating for 188 guests and 44 in the room’s VIP area at new desks handy for studying the daily racing forms or perhaps enjoying a cocktail or snack from the daily food and beverage service. Another 36 seats can be added to accommodate large capacity crowds for major racing events such as the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes and the

one in San Diego County.
 e Red Earth Casino, owned by the Torres
Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians is planned to open on or about March 15th. Located next to the Torres Martinez Travel Center on Hwy 86 in Salton City, the casino is 14,000 square-feet with 350 slot machines, mostly penny slots, with eight tables for table games.  e casino will also include a restaurant. And the Santa Ysabel Resort and Casino, owned by the Santa Ysabel Band of Diegueno Indians is planned to open sometime in March.  e casino is perched overlooking Lake Henshaw on Highway 79 in San Diego County.  e building is approximately 35,000 square feet and includes
349 slot machines, an eight-table poker room, a six-table Blackjack/table games pit, and the Eagle Nest Slot Club.  e Orchard restaurant will have 24-hour dining with a bu et and seating for 150.  e Seven Oaks Bar and Lounge has seating for 45. Call 760-230-2480 for more information.
