Showcase Theatre is reopening—and launching
a brand-new entertainment program in a unique venue unlike any other in San Diego.
e new “Live & Up Close” shows at Sycuan combine the intimacy of a nightclub setting with state-of-the-art lighting and audio equipment more typically seen in an amphitheater. is unusual combination ensures you get to see and hear your favorite artists at their very best.
Sensational Showcase Theatre
It all starts with the size of the theatre. e performance stage is surrounded by an intimate arrangement of only 457 seats. ere isn’t a bad seat in the house, and it creates a vibe almost like you’re sitting in on a private jam session. en there’s the equipment. Sycuan’s top-of-the-line audio equipment provides exceptional sound quality, and the size of the theatre prevents the distortion and poor acoustics found in larger venues. It’s an audiophile’s dream. e lighting equipment is also state-of-the-art, and Sycuan works closely with every performer to ensure they have the lighting design they need to support and enhance

Cash Drawings & Meet and Greet
Another feature unique to the “Live & Up Close” program will give attendees a chance to meet their favorite artists in person. At every performance, Club Sycuan members can participate in a drawing to win $100 cash, and many performances will also include the chance to win a pass to the artist’s“Meet and Greet.” ese Meet and Greet events will give a small number of guests a chance to speak with and have their photo taken with the performer. at’s a souvenir worth bragging to your friends about!
Another brand-new feature of the Showcase eatre is the addition of two full-service bars o ering a variety of cocktails, beer and wine for sale. Drinks will be available both before and during every show. Access to the Showcase eatre is limited to guests 21 and over.
Exciting Headliners
Sycuan has been hard at work to develop a show schedule that features some of the most exciting performers in
the entertainment industry. All musical genres will be included on the schedule, including classic rock, country, easy listening and more, as well as live comedy. e common ground is simply great performances.
At the Showcase eatre’s o cial Grand Reopening event in late October, Grammy winning country superstar Glen Campbell (“Rhinestone Cowboy,”“Wichita Lineman,”
“Gentle on My Mind”) headlined two sold-out shows and o cially launched the new entertainment program.
Future “Live & Up Close” shows will be scheduled roughly every two weeks, often with two shows on Saturday. However, the schedule may vary to enable Sycuan to bring in the best performers based on their availability.
