Ventura Man Wins $1 Million Jackpot at Chumash Casino Resort
Ventura resident, Jesse C., hit the jackpot of a lifetime on July 8th, at Chumash Casino Resort, winning more than $1 million on a slot machine. He bet the maximum of three credits on a $5 Ten Times Pay progressive slot in the high-limit room, and hit the 10-10-10 jackpot, which had been building for about nine months, to win $1,021,730. “It took a couple of days to really sink in,” Castillo said of his jackpot. “I’ve played that machine a lot. It’s a progressive, and I was playing it when the jackpot was $270,000. People have ocked to that machine, dreaming of hitting the big payout. It was open, so I sat down and was only looking to win the $5,000 mini jackpot. Instead, I hit that 10-10-10. It was a serious surprise.”
And Gary C. from Santa Maria, who spent the past two years battling a serious heart condition, outlasted 490 other competitors to claim rst place in the 2014 Central Coast Poker Championship, and more than $15,000 on Saturday, May 3rd, at Chumash Casino Resort.
