SIpa Resort Casino Presents Free Downtown Concert Series
n December, Spa Resort Casino announced a free, open-air concert series that began on December 13th, leading o  the series with ’80s New Wave band, Berlin. Future shows include The Guess Who, The Spinners, and Smash Mouth.
In recent years, the casino has worked in close partnership with Golden Voice, PS Resorts and the City of Palm Springs to bring notable outdoor concerts to downtown Palm Springs.  e series of free-to-the-community, open- air concerts, from December through March are scheduled for the second Saturday of each month.
Spa Resort Casino’s Executive Director of Marketing, Kari Stout-Smith noted, “ e comfortable year-round weather and the casino’s central location is perfect for the community to get together and enjoy music by original performers in an open-air setting.”
Kicking o  the concert series on December 13th, was Los Angeles-based, ’80s New Wave band, Berlin, with provocative front woman, Terri Nunn, in a 90-minute show that included a string of hits “No More Words,” “ e Metro,” and their number one hit, the love theme from the movie, Top Gun, “ Take My Breath Away.”
Football Playoff Fun at the Casino

Following Berlin’s kick-o  to the season, the January 10th concert will feature classic rock group, The Guess Who, whose free-spirited songs such as their number one hit,
“American Woman,” and “No Sugar Tonight,” have gone on to become classic American anthems for the baby boomer generation, which is quite a feat for the Canadian-based group.
For those looking for a little romance on Valentines Day, catch the seductive, soulful sounds of The Spinners, with their classics, “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love,” “I’ll Be
Around,” and their number one hit, “ en Came You,” on February 14th.
Rounding out the series in March is ’90s alternative rock group and triple-platinum selling artists, Smash Mouth, performing on Saturday, March 14th.
 e concerts are free, open to the public and are held outdoors in the parking area across from Spa Resort Casino
on Calle Encilia and Andreas Road, in Palm Springs.  e concert premises will include a beer garden, plus sodas and water will be available for purchase.
